DAY 11 (celebrations and holidays)

Holidays are important in every culture. Latvians celebrate common holidays like Christmas, Mother’s Day and Independence Day and they also have unique holidays, celebrated in a very traditional way. One such holiday is Jāņi – Midsummer Day. We will talk about holiday in later lessons. For now, let’s learn main holiday vocabulary and how to wish someone a Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!
